WHITE PINE PICTURES ANNOUNCES PRE-MIPCOM SALE OF
DRAMA SERIES “CRACKED” TO ASTRAL’S SÉRIES+
TORONTO, CANADA (October 4, 2012) – White Pine Pictures announced today that they’ve secured the program sale of their new hour-long drama series Cracked to Astral’s Québec fiction channel Séries+ pre-MIPCOM.
Cracked is created by writer Tracey Forbes (Flashpoint, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Toronto Emergency Task Force officer Calum de Hartog and executive produced by Peter Raymont and Janice Dawe of White Pine Pictures.
The 13-part drama stars David Sutcliffe (Private Practice, Gilmore Girls) as Detective Aidan Black and Stefanie von Pfetten (NCIS, Battlestar Galactica) as Psychiatrist Dr. Daniella Ridley. Cracked partners an unstable police detective (Sutcliffe) with a psychiatrist (von Pfetten) to solve the city’s most baffling and psychologically complex crimes.
Cracked is produced by White Pine Pictures in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and with the participation of the Canadian Television Fund and Cogeco in association with Group M Entertainment. CBC is to air the Canadian drama in January 2013.
