TORONTO, CANADA (October 22, 2012) – White Pine Pictures is pleased to announce that it has hired Lesley Grant as Vice-President Development.
Lesley, returning to Toronto after two years in Dawson City, Yukon, will be responsible for advancing and building a slate of original dramatic and factual entertainment programming.
Lesley brings with her two years of experience as Director of Development for Shaftesbury Films. Prior to that, she was a Production Executive at CBC (Drama) and Canwest Broadcasting (Slice and TVTropolis).
Early in her career, Lesley worked in book publishing before writing script coverage for CTV. She rose to the position of Senior Executive, Development and Production, Dramatic Programming, collaborating with writers, independent producers and network colleagues to develop and oversee the development and production of Canadian series and movies for the network.
Lesley has also served on the boards of a number of non-profit arts societies and has appeared on industry panels. She is well respected in the creative community and has volunteered and provided mentoring with various associations including the Canadian Film Centre, the National Screen Institute, and Women in the Director’s Chair.
