Hunt Hoe
Laura Turek

Originally from Malaysia, Hunt Hoe is a Montreal-based director/producer. Foreign Ghosts, his first feature, was released in 1998. Seducing Maarya, his second feature, which won the Best Director award at the Newport Beach International Film Festival, was released in Canada and the U.S. in 2001. His documentaries Journey of Strings and Respect the Beat have aired in Canada and Europe. Who's Albert Woo?, an NFB documentary on the image of Asian men, featuring Jackie Chan, aired on TVO in 2001.

An ex-patriot of Saskatchewan, Laura Turek began her journalism career at Montreal's CJFM. After working as a researcher and journalist in Montreal and in Washington, she moved into fiction and is currently writing for Les Brins d'Amour, an animated series produced by TVA. She and Hunt are developing the third documentary in the Journey of Music series. Laura is also in production on Cherry Fruitbread, a short that she wrote and is directing.
