In some urban centres, ethnocultural minorities constitute a very
high proportion of the total population. Many of these communities
have newspapers, radio programs and cable television shows in their
own languages. And some have created ethnic neighbourhoods within
their larger urban communities, such a "Little Italys" or "Chinatowns,"
with distinctive shops, restaurants, clubs and churches.
